following are the principal provisions:-

(1) Raw opium, Production and distribu-

tion to be controlled by legislation:

ports of importation and exportation to

be limited;

measures to be taken to

prevent exportation to countries which

prohibit import and to control exporta-

tion to countries which subject importa-

tion to conditions: importation and

exportation is only to be carried on

through duly authorised persons.
